Approximately how many sessions should I expect? Some concerns can be clarified quickly and easily in coaching and advice. In most cases, you can expect to see significant improvement in 4 to 5 sessions. In some cases, you can get small impulses, a change of perspective and clarity after just 1-2 sessions. Major change processes, detecting feelings, releasing blockages and changing thought patterns and (deep-seated) behaviors usually take more patience and time. We focus on your specific needs.

Coaching, psychological counseling and therapy - what's the difference? The lines are sometimes not very sharp, especially between coaching and consulting. "Coaching is used as a targeted intervention, whereby the supportive, accompanying attitude of the coach towards the client is particularly decisive. The coach has the task of strengthening the client in his personal development and giving new impulses, e.g. personally or professional goals can be achieved. Psychological counseling means solution- and resource-oriented interventions. In the counseling situation, psychosocial conflicts from different areas of life are considered and overcome with the help of new solutions. In contrast to psychotherapeutic procedures, psychological counseling aims to improve the quality of life, subjective well-being and the promotion of problem-solving skills. It offers support and assistance in stressful, difficult-to-manage life crises." (Source: Verband psychologischer B Berater, Berufsverband Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen e.V.) Psychological illnesses such as depression, anxiety and compulsions require therapy. Due to my training in clinical psychology, I can judge very well where the limit is - and when my limit will be reached.

Who bears the costs? Can I deduct the costs from my taxes? In my practice, the principle of self-pay applies. However, you can deduct part of the costs as income-related expenses/"Aufwendungen für Gesundheit/Gesunderhaltung" (in the case of advice for professional reasons) or as an extraordinary burden/"aussergewöhnliche Belastung" (expenses for health/health maintenance) in your tax return.
